Based in Moray in the North East of Scotland. I started with a passion for Landscapes in 2009 using a Fujifilm bridge camera. Towards the end of 2011 I purchased my first DSLR and now using Nikon Professional equipment.
The Moray coast has some stunning rocky coastline and lovely sandy beaches. It is from this backdrop that I started my journey in Landscape photography. With a preference towards the softer low light at either end of the day. But I will go out when weather is"poor", it is possible to get some softer more minimalist images.
It is against some of this scenery that I have now expanded into Location Portraiture and Wedding coverage. Hopefully putting my own style into this genere.
In December 2014 I joined SWPP and SINWP. I took this decision to try and take my Photography to the next level. Since then I have gained awards to Gold and Highly Commended level in The Societies Photographic competitions.
With this in mind I submitted a panel of 20 images for qualification towards the end of March 2015. And during first weeks of April received the news that I'd hoped for. A pass in Licentiate in Photography (SINWP).
The future... aim to get a panel of images together to go for an Associateship qualification. This is a more creative and specialist qualification.
2017 saw me actively promoting the Wedding and Portraiture side of the business, with Landscapes now taking the form of personal work for me.
