Friday 27th April 2018, a lovely warm sunny day. Rain was forecast but thankfully it never showed (well not til about 9.30pm, and that was only a shower which helped with a creative shot. More on that later).
Anyway today's venue is at Gordon Castle Walled Garden, Fochabers. The Walled Garden is a restoration project, open to the public with an excellent modern Cafe on site.
Today the Cafe is set up to hold the Ceremony and the following meal and reception.
The day started with me capturing details of the Bride's and Bridesmaids dresses at the house, along with a few other details.
Next on the list was Hair and Make up. So off I went to
SM Hair & Beauty
With the Bride mid hair I grabbed a few shots.
Across the room
Kara Kellas - Freelance Make Up and Brow Artist
was hard at work on the Bridesmaids make up.
With time pressing off I went to capture some images of the Groom and Bestman.
With the first part of the day complete it was off to grab some lunch before the main event at 2pm.
Arriving at Gordon Castle Walled Garden around 1.25pm. With time on my side I began capturing some detail shots of the venue and setup, plus the cake standing proudly on display.
With the Bride arriving around 2pm by
DM Executive Chauffeur
With guests seated the ceremony got underway.
Following the ceremony I powered through the groups shots, with a little help from the bridesmaids rounding guests up. We only had an hour to get the groups and some couple shots done at the lake before the speeches and the meal.
With the meal finished I took a few more candid's as people relaxed before the first dance at 8pm.
With daylight turning to twilight I started to set up for one final nighttime shot. Flashes were placed and tested. A quick call to my assistant to ask the bride and groom to come to the garden for one last shot before the returned to their guests to celebrate their day.
Thank you and congratulations Moira and Ian
