Portraits - My Approach

Family Portrait Photography.

We are now in the digital age, where we all have some form of a camera to record our daily lives. But it's now more important than ever to capture these unique family portraits that will last a lifetime, generations even. I aim to capture an individual's character in a beautifully honest way.
It's not easy, but I must do it as a portrait photographer in Moray. The sessions must be relaxed, make you feel comfortable, and allow you to be yourself. I'm here to bring your vision to life, whether a natural outdoor portrait or an indoor location, using lighting to create something dramatic or fine art. Your family portrait photoshoot can be in any season (spring, summer, autumn, or winter). Successful portrait photography is all about teamwork. And if we collaborate, your session will be individual to you. I have photographed people all over Moray and Scotland, whether that's a wedding or portraits. My portrait sessions vary as much as the people I photograph. It is of the highest importance as a people photographer that everyone is at ease during their portrait photoshoot. With this in mind, I will always try to meet you before a session, ensuring everyone enjoys their photoshoot experience. I can do this for you and your family, from toddlers to teenagers and your four-legged friends.
I am passionate about my work and aim to produce something unique and individual for you. From this, we will create some standout family portrait photography, from which I will make some stunning wall art. I work with beautiful manufacturers who produce stunning wall art or albums. Is there any better way to document our lives than arranging a family photo session?

So, What Is A Portrait Session?

It starts with a consultation with you and your family. From here, we will decide the style and location of the portrait photo shoot. I cover from Inverness to Aberdeen, although further afield may incur travel costs.
The session will take 1 to 2 hours ( depending on the package chosen); a little over is all right. Well, I am bespoke, aiming to get the photos you want.
Afterwards, I will select and beautifully edit your images ready for viewing. Once prepared, you can view your pictures and choose your package and any al carte products ( I even have software that allows you to envisage your portrait photos in various products and rooms). These will then be delivered to me ready for you to collect.

Equestrian Photography.

With every horse, there is an owner. I aim to capture the special bond between the two. An equestrian photoshoot records the special relationship between the owner and the horse. Also, it's a chance to dress up in your favourite clothes.

What happens if you book me for your equestrian photoshoot?

I will consult you to determine what you want from the Equine photoshoot. I cover an area from Inverness to Aberdeen, but I am willing to cover further afield. The session can take place in your yard, location, or a mix of both, creating a variety in your images and wall art.
I use natural light mostly, but if your horse is happy with it, I can use flash to create something different and moody. Pieces of art will look at home on your wall or in an album.

Once I have your photographs finished, I will upload them to an online viewing gallery where you can select your favourites. I will then work with your budget and wall space to find the right wall art for your home.
